Powerboat level 2 course

This course provides the skills and knowledge needed to be both a safe and competent powerboat handler. It is also the basis of the ICC (international certificate of competence). It can be preceded by the powerboat level 1 course or any other level of experience. This is an intensive 2 day course and in addition to everything covered on a level 1 course you will also cover the following:

• Anchoring
• High speed handling
• Man overboard drills

There is also a certain amount of shore based learning in the classroom such as;

• Different types of vessel
• Engine preparation
• Rules and regulations at sea
• Rope work and basic knots
• Basic chart work
• Weather and tides

At the end of this course you will be allowed to apply for the ICC which will allow you to hire boats. Cost of the course is £299. (includes training manual/drinks/lunch).
